Collection and use of personal data

The primary reason to store and use personal data is the working relationship between the customer and q4k, the legitimate interest of the controller, the customer's consent, the assignment of the customer or any other relevant connection between the customer and q4k.

We collect data on our website so that we can provide our visitors with a better experience, deliver any ordere goods or services, improve customer relationship management and care, and enable contacts required by the service. For example, we can request from people filling forms on our site information such as their name, company, phone number and email address, as well as additional information such as their location or title. 

As a general matter and although providing personal data is voluntary, q4k may not be able to perform or satisfy your request without it; for example, q4k might require your personal data to process an order you place. In this case, it is not possible for q4k to satisfy your request without certain personal data.

We will send information about products and services, news and events by email to people in our customer and/or marketing registries. Analytics

We use on our website services generating third-party web analytics. We use the data collected by the tool to develop our online service.

Regular disclosure of information

The register information can be shared with the Controller’s third party service providers, partners and other third parties. All third parties and partners are bound by the legality requirement.

Third party service providers: q4k may engage third party service providers to process personal data on q4k's behalf, e.g., for consulting or other services, the provision of the website, the fulfillment and provisioning of offers from q4k or newsletter dispatch. These service providers may receive or are granted with access to personal data when rendering their services and will constitute recipients within the meaning of the relevant DP law, including GDPR.

q4k partners: with your consent or as otherwise indicated by your request, including to fulfill your ordered services, q4k may share your personal data with designated partner companies to provide you with the product or service you have requested.

Other third parties: q4k may transfer your registration data based on your consent or as otherwise indicated by your request to companies listed on the registration page of an q4k seminar, webinar or event. These companies may receive your personal data as co-organizer or sponsor of the event and will use your registration data for the purposes of their participation in the event. They will provide you directly with any legally required information about their processing purposes and how you may exercise your rights. 

Principles of registry protection

The information is kept technically protected. Physical access to data is blocked by access control and other security measures. Access to data requires adequate rights, as well as multi-stage recognition. Unauthorized access is also prevented by firewalls and other technical protection. Only the Controller and designated persons can access the stored data. Users are bound by the confidentiality obligation. The stored data is backed up safely and can be returned as needed. The level of security is audited at recurring intervals by carrying out either an external or internal audit.

Retention period

The controller shall keep personal data for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which the information was collected, within the limits of the applicable law and in accordance with the requirements of the laws and regulations, in particular in accordance with accounting requirements.

Right to check and modify data on the register

A person on the register has the right to inspect, correct and delete their data or to refuse to process data for justified reasons. The request must be made in writing to the Controller. q4k will accordingly process your request and inform you the basis for why or why not the data will be changed. If our response is not satisfactory, you can always contact the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.
